In an idyllic California suburb, 17-year-old Jake, a gifted yet isolated teenager on the autistic spectrum, feels adrift from a world he struggles to understand. His life changes when he meets Alice, a bold, outgoing senior whose confidence hides a loneliness of her own. As their unexpected friendship deepens, they challenge each other to open up and see the world differently. Through shared vulnerability, Jake and Alice discover that connection can emerge from even the deepest sense of isolation.
The Midway Point offers an authentic, emotional representation of neurodiversity that resonates with audiences worldwide. It is a moving coming-of-age story about empathy, acceptance, and the power of truly being seen.
